We always welcome volunteers to help with our campaigning work. Could you help deliver our newsletters to your street, or go out with our campaign team and speak to local residents about their concerns?

DofE With the Green Party

The Volunteering section of the DofE programme is often the most rewarding, uplifting and memorable part of your DofE adventure. It can, however, sometimes be hard to find a good opportunity for those under the age of 16. If this is you, then we would love to have you with us for your DofE!

Whatever your level of experience and however much or little time you can give, we would love to hear from you. Contact us by emailing info@tmgreens.org.uk.

Tonbridge and Malling Green Party

We campaign for social and environmental justice in the Kentish borough of Tonbridge and Malling.

Your councillors have been getting lots of reports about the borough council's contractors, Kingdom, overstepping their responsibilities.Kingdom were contracted to enforce the penalties relating to littering and fly-tipping. They seem to have been over zealous when it comes to businesses operating in our town centres. We have asked for clarification from cabinet members and officers about the terms that Kingdom employees should be operating within. At our last Full Council Meeting Cllr Bethan Parry asked about the use of body-worn footage to establish the truth about some littering offences where proof has been less than compelling. Residents and businesses need to have faith in the system and the process. We all want cleaner streets but we need assurance that every Fixed Penalty Notice has been issued with the due process and attention. ... See MoreSee Less

At this week’s Kent County Council meeting, Green Party Councillor Mark Hood spoke out against plans to merge Kent’s councils into a single unitary authority.Cllr Hood warned that the plan would leave residents voiceless, councillors overworked, and local democracy hollowed out.“Our residents told us they want best value and responsive local councillors — but this proposal would make that impossible,” he said. “We don’t want professional politicians running Kent. We want councillors who actually look like us, with real experience of the outside world.”The Tonbridge and Malling Green Party supports Cllr Hood’s call for a democratic, transparent approach that protects local voices and community decision-making. #MarkHood #KentPolitics #GreenParty #LocalDemocracy #KentCountyCouncil #UnitaryAuthority #CouncilReform #Devolution #PublicVoice #CommunityRepresentation #Accountability #Transparency #ReformUK #KentNews #FairPolitics #DemocracyMatters #ResidentsFirst #PublicEngagement #LocalGovernment #TonbridgeAndMalling #StandingUpForKent ... 🔥 “Farage-like scare tactics have no place in Kent politics.”At this week’s Kent County Council meeting, Green Party Councillor Paul Stepto called out the Reform-led administration for using fear and misinformation in its new strategy report.“There’s no evidence of ‘high crime and low trust’ — it’s a Farage-like scare tactic. And claiming welfare is too generous while cutting £30,000 in crisis grants for the disadvantaged? That’s pure hypocrisy.”Cllr Stepto also took aim at the much-hyped ‘DOLGE’ efficiency unit, which has failed to deliver a single meaningful result in six months. The Greens will continue standing up for truth, transparency, and real support for Kent’s most vulnerable residents.#PaulStepto #KentCountyCouncil #GreenParty #KentPolitics #Accountability #Transparency #Farage #ReformUK #CouncilCuts #WelfareSupport #CostOfLiving #CommunityFirst #LocalDemocracy #GoodGovernance #PublicSpending #KentNews #DOLGE #SocialJustice #TonbridgeAndMalling #StandingUpForKent ... 💚 “We’ve gone from a broad church to a cathedral of compliance.”At this week’s Kent County Council meeting, Green Party Councillor Mark Hood delivered a sharp, witty, and fearless critique of the Reform-led administration — calling out political chaos, financial waste, and environmental inaction.Cllr Hood spoke passionately about protecting democracy, investing in sustainable transport, and rejecting the push for a single Kent-wide authority that would weaken local representation.“We reject it entirely,” he said. “It offers no hope for true devolution or accountability — and we’ve seen what happens when huge powers fall into unaccountable hands.”He also urged Kent to keep its climate commitments and stop wasting taxpayer money on vanity projects. 🌍#MarkHood #KentPolitics #GreenParty #LocalDemocracy #ClimateAction #Devolution #KentCountyCouncil #Transparency #Accountability #LowerThamesCrossing #GreenVision #PublicVoice #StandingUpForKent #EnvironmentalJustice #CommunityRepresentation #CleanTransport #ReformUK #KentNews #FairPolitics #TonbridgeAndMalling #PeoplePower ...
