Green Party Volunteers Brave the Cold to Clean Up Darenth Avenue

Despite freezing temperatures, a group of dedicated Green Party volunteers gathered this morning to clean up Darenth Avenue, just outside Tonbridge Baptist Church. The team, joined by Councillor Stacey Pilgrim, co-chair David Nicholls, and the party’s secretary Jill Waite, filled multiple rubbish bags as they worked to tidy up the area.

Undeterred by the chill, the volunteers kept their spirits high, sharing laughs and a sense of camaraderie as they worked together to improve the community. The effort not only left Darenth Avenue looking cleaner but also reinforced the importance of local action in maintaining and enhancing the spaces we all share.

The Power of Community Action

Today’s clean-up is just one example of how the Green Party is committed to serving the Tonbridge and Malling community. From organising monthly clean-up events to taking a stand on critical issues like the recent “Death of Local Democracy” protest, the Green Party is always ready to step up for the people of Tonbridge and Malling.

Our volunteers know that change starts at the local level, and every small action contributes to a better, more sustainable future. Whether we’re picking up litter, organising protests, or advocating for policies that protect your vote and your voice, we are here to make a difference.
