Locally, Sevenoaks has the highest income-to-house-price ratio in Kent, with the average home costing 11.4 times the local full-time salary. Tonbridge and Malling follows closely, with a ratio of 10.9, while Tunbridge Wells and Ashford also exceed 9 times the average salary. These figures highlight the growing inaccessibility of homeownership for many young working adults, especially those without significant savings or dual incomes.
