Tonbridge and Malling Green Party tackle Darenth Avenue For monthly Clean-Up with ‘Ninja Phil’ Leading the Way

The Tonbridge and Malling Green Party have been out in the community again, rolling up their sleeves for a clear-up along Darenth Avenue in Tonbridge. This clean-up formed part of the Green Party’s ongoing monthly efforts to keep Tonbridge’s streets and public spaces tidy, safe, and enjoyable for everyone.

Councillors Paul Stepto and Stacey Pilgrim joined local members and volunteers for the event. The group spent the day tackling litter and tidying up the surrounding area, helping improve the look and feel of the neighbourhood. Spirits were high throughout, with plenty of teamwork and good humour making the hard work feel all the more worthwhile.

One local member stood out for his speed and determination. Phil Waite, affectionately dubbed “Ninja Phil,” was seen whizzing between litter hotspots and even cleaning road signs. His energy and commitment impressed everyone taking part, showing just how much difference one person’s efforts can make in a community.

Events like this demonstrate the Green Party’s commitment to environmental issues on a national scale and everyday improvements that matter most to local people. Litter-picking may seem like a small act, but together it creates cleaner, safer streets, boosts pride in the community, and helps protect local wildlife.

Councillors and volunteers alike praised the event as a brilliant success, with many commenting on how positive it felt to see people come together for the common good.

The Tonbridge and Malling Green Party will continue with monthly clean-ups around the borough, proving that small, regular action builds into long-lasting change. If you’d like to get involved, keep an eye out for updates on future clean-up events — everyone is welcome.
