At the Tonbridge and Malling Green Party, we believe in Working Hard, Not Just During Elections. Our councillors are constantly listening to residents, understanding their concerns, and pushing for meaningful change—even when the cameras aren’t rolling. A recent poll by Ipsos has highlighted why more and more people are turning to the Green Party, with the Greens achieving the highest favourability rating of all political parties at -5, ahead of the Liberal Democrats (-12) and Reform UK (-14).

What the Poll Shows

The Ipsos Political Pulse survey, conducted in February, reveals that the Green Party is viewed more favourably than any other political party in the UK. While no party has a positive net rating, the Greens’ score of -5 is significantly better than Labour (-28) and the Conservatives (-34). This reflects a growing recognition of the Green Party’s commitment to social justice and community-focused policies.

In contrast, high-profile politicians like Keir Starmer and Kemi Badenoch have seen their favourability ratings decline, with Starmer’s net rating falling to -34 and Badenoch’s improving slightly to -29. Even Nigel Farage, despite a boost in his rating, remains at -15.

Why the Green Party Stands Out

The Green Party’s relatively high favourability rating is no accident. It’s the result of years of hard work, both in and out of election seasons. Our councillors are deeply embedded in their communities, listening to residents and advocating for policies that make a real difference. Whether it’s protecting green spaces, fighting for affordable housing, or pushing for better public transport, Green Party councillors are always Working Hard, Not Just During Elections.

This approach resonates with voters who are tired of empty promises and political posturing. They see the Green Party as a breath of fresh air—a party that genuinely cares about people and the planet.

A Vote for the Green Party is a Vote for Change

With the Kent County Council elections on the horizon, now is the time to consider voting Green. Our high favourability rating reflects the trust and confidence that voters have in our ability to deliver positive change. Here’s why you should join them:

  1. We Listen to Communities: Our councillors are out in the community every day, understanding the issues that matter most to residents.
  2. We Deliver Results: Whether it’s securing Village Green status for Upper Castle Field or saving ancient oak trees in Higham Ward, Green Party councillors get things done.
  3. We Prioritise the Environment: From tackling climate change to protecting local green spaces, the Green Party is committed to creating a sustainable future for Kent.

Looking Ahead

The Ipsos poll also found that a significant majority of Britons (62%) believe the country is heading in the wrong direction. This dissatisfaction with the status quo presents an opportunity for the Green Party to offer a genuine alternative. By voting Green, you can help us build a fairer, greener, and more sustainable Kent.

Working Hard, Every Day

The Green Party’s high favourability rating is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our councillors and members. We don’t just show up during election season—we’re out in the community every day, fighting for the issues that matter most to residents.

If you’re looking for a party that truly represents your values and works tirelessly to make a difference, consider voting Green in the upcoming Kent County Council elections. Together, we can create a brighter future for our community.
