Support Mark and Paul’s Re-Election Campaign – Even £5 Can Make a Big Difference

The 2025 County Council Elections are fast approaching, and here in Tonbridge, we have a real opportunity to re-elect two of the hardest-working councillors in Kent: Mark Hood and Paul Stepto. Both are standing again to continue representing our town on Kent County Council – and your help could be the difference that gets them over the line.

Mark and Paul have lived in Tonbridge for many years and have consistently stood up for local people. Whether it’s campaigning for safer roads, pushing for better local services, or holding the council to account on environmental and community issues, these two councillors truly embody what it means to serve the public.

But running a fair, local, people-powered campaign costs money, and we’re not like the big parties.

Why Donate?

Unlike the Conservatives and Labour, the Green Party doesn’t have wealthy donors or corporate backers. We don’t take money from large companies, and we certainly aren’t beholden to outside interests. Everything we do is powered by local volunteers and small donations from people like you.

We don’t splash out on TV adverts or expensive data targeting software. Instead, we invest directly in what matters most – talking to you, our neighbours, through printed newsletters, door-knocking, and community events. That’s how we build genuine support, and that’s why we win.

Here’s how your donation helps:

  • £20 = 30 window posters to show community support
  • £100 = 1,000 calling cards to get our message to local voters
  • £300 = 5,000 campaign leaflets
  • £500 = A full print run of 10,000 leaflets to cover the area

Even a small contribution – £5, £10 or £20 – can go a long way. With your help, we’ll keep Green voices on Kent County Council – voices that fight for fairness, sustainability, and a community-first approach to local politics.

Mark and Paul Deliver Real Results

Since first winning their seats in 2021, Mark and Paul have worked year-round to serve Tonbridge. They’ve:

  • Challenging harmful developments
  • Stood up for better bus services
  • Championed clean air and safe neighbourhoods
  • Fought for greater transparency and accountability in council spending

They don’t just campaign in May – they work hard all year round, staying true to our local Green Party slogan:
“Working hard not just during elections.”

This Is More Than Just a Climate Vote

Yes, the Green Party cares deeply about the environment – but that’s not all we’re about. Mark and Paul are passionate about issues like:

  • Supporting small businesses
  • Improving access to social and adult care
  • Making travel safer and more affordable
  • Championing education and community spaces

We need more councillors with common-sense solutions, who truly understand Tonbridge and are willing to stand up for it. That’s exactly what Mark and Paul have been doing – and with your support, they can continue doing it.

Ready to Support Real Change?

If you’ve ever thought: “I want to see a better kind of politics in Tonbridge,” now’s your chance to make it happen.

  • Donate whatever you can – even a few quid makes a real impact.
  • Help us reach more voters and re-elect two truly dedicated councillors.
  • Be part of the change.

Together, we can keep building a fairer, greener future for Tonbridge.
